KENWORTHS
The Kenworth Truck Company rolled out their first production Kenworth in 1923, and they have continued to build a reputation for durability, craftsmanship and engineering excellence that few other heavy and medium duty truck companies can compete with.
The Seattle, Washington based company gained popularity in 1933 when they became the first American truck manufacturer to install diesel engines as standard equipment. In the same year, the first sleeper cabs were also introduced, but innovation did not stop there.
In 1985, Kenworth’s T-600 improved aerodynamics by nearly 40% and changed production going forth. The slope-nosed design continues to save customers up to 22% on fuel compared to other traditional conventionals.
Another advantage to the design of Kenworth trucks is the cab size. Kenworth’s cabs are narrower than its competitors. While many drivers don’t notice a difference from many other conventional trucks for over-
the-road trucking, drivers can easily notice the Kenworth’s cab in town. Kenworth’s offer better sight lines, especially on the right side of the truck, making it much easier to maneuver and saving precious time.
PACCAR, the manufacturer of Kenworth trucks, ensures durability and reliability. Kenworth models have a strong reputation and they are commonly seen on the road today. PACCAR develops their engines in-house, along with transmissions and axles to work with their trucks. When you buy a Kenworth, you can guarantee that you are getting a truck with components designed to work together as a whole, maximizing productivity and drive time.
PACCAR’s innovation and dedication to better serve their loyal customers has led to the Kenworth T-680, Kenworth T-660, Kenworth T-800 and Kenworth W-900s to stand above their competitors. It’s no wonder the truck company has produced over one million trucks to date.
